During the installation you will be promted for GTA:SA setup, follow these steps:
1) Select 'No' when prompted about 'Registering your game'
2) Simply press "Next" on all other steps
TIP: If some of the steps fail (especially SA Downgrade), try running the script again!
This installer tries to preserve the original feel while fixing issues with the game on modern hardware.
The GUI OpenMP launcher is not working, but the command line option is working properly, you can create multiple duplicates of the Game and change the command line parameters to join different servers.
This installer is designed for Steam Deck, but should work for any popular Linux distros as well. If you need to get the Steam Deck's joystick buttons to work, you will need to create a shortcut for Steam from Lutris and launch the game from Steam instead of Lutris. -

1) Install the classic version of GTA San Andreas using Steam
2) Download the following mods manually:

During the installation you will be prompted by 'SA Downgrader', select the following options:
- Select 'yes' when prompted about 'Disclaimer'
- Select 'no' when asked about updating 'SA Downgrader'\r\n
- Select 'ok' when warned about possible issues
- Ignore the error about reaching online services
- Press 'Downgrade'
- Press 'No' when asked about creating a copy of GTA San Andreas to another location
- Press 'Yes' when asked about creating retail registry entries
- Wait for the downgrader to finish
- Press 'Exit'
Note: If the installer script fails during the 'SA Downgrade' phase, then try running the installer again or try connecting an external display (in case of Steam Deck) and using only the external display. You can also try to use a different GTA:SA downgrader.
> Do NOT run OpenMP after installing it, use the Lutris launcher instead!
